Chief Financial Officer

Our client is a leader in the logistics industry and they wish to hire a "hands on" CFO that will be responsible for all financial functions and compliance with local, state and federal reporting requirements. The job has both strategic and tactical management responsibilities for accounting, finance, treasury, reporting, budgeting, financial policy, auditing and tax.Essential duties will include-Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of the organization and its operations through metrics and financial measures and works closely with the executive leadership team to achieve maximum operational efficiencyParticipate in developing and implementing tactical and strategic plans that optimize current and future performance, including plans that design and articulate strategies that position the organization for ongoing investments in capital, programs, services, and clinical excellenceOversee the consolidation of financial reporting and strategic financialWork closely with administrative leadership, business development personnel, and human resources on operational improvements, the planning and implementation of new initiatives, and the management of staff resources and expendituresDrive organization-wide change within a complex, rapidly changing cost and operating modelJob Requirements-Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferredCPA is preferredExperience with PE ownershipLogistics industry experience required10+ years relevant experience requiredWorking knowledge of GAAP and federal and local tax regulationKnowledge of all accounting processes including accounts payable, payroll and general accounting and effective ability to prepare financial statements and operating reportsMust be skilled at interpreting the abstract pieces of financial analysis and performanceStrong understanding of credit facility covenants/relationships
