Deputy Program Manager

Avo Photonics ) is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. The successful candidate must plan his/her own work schedule, keep multiple records, be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.Responsibilities:Support product development with tasks assigned by Program Manager (PM) as detailed belowEnsure deliverables are on track and provide timely updates to PM and customer on schedule changesPerform financial forecasting and analyses to ensure programs remain profitablePlan resources (equipment and personnel) to meet program objectivesReview system-level design progress and redirect as needed to efficiently derive a product design that meets or exceeds the customer requirementsTrack material status to ensure timely ordering, inspection and acceptance of parts; manage suppliers as required for delivery or quality exceptionsPrepare and present technical and schedule status updates to internal and external stakeholders as neededManage various external relationships such as vendors and consultantsSupport miscellaneous customer requests as neededRequirements:BS or higher in Engineering, Physics, or related technical fieldTwo years of Program/Project Management or System Engineering experience in photonics, aerospace, aeronautics, defense, or medicalHigh attention to detail, personable, social harmonizer, integrated planner, able to resolve conflicts, motivated, willing to take initiativeAvo Photonics offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package.
