We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join Kaiser Aluminum Warrick Operations in Newburgh, Indiana. This role is crucial in developing HR strategies, policies and programs that support organizational goals and objectives.What's in it for youTo support our teams and their families beyond the workplace, we provide an outstanding benefits package effective day one of employment.Competitive compensation and healthcare 401K options that begin vesting day 1First-rate vacation opportunity for valuable work-life balanceRelocation assistance for new team membersWhat you will work on:Ensures compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations through appropriate guidance, policies and procedures.Act as a liaison between employer and employee to resolve employee and labor relations matters.Manage complex employee and labor relations issues to resolution, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations related to workplace matters.Partner with departmental leadership to problem solve employee relations issues, change management, and employee training.Effectively handle employee concerns and/or grievances and escalate these concerns when necessary.Consult with business leaders on findings and/or recommendations regarding employee and labor relations matters; coach managers and serve as a sounding board on people-related decisions; mitigate risks.Provide timely and efficient responses to day-to-day human resources matters from employees and managers.Analyze trends and metrics to provide innovative solutions as required.Leverages key partners in HR (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Labor Relations, Corporate HR and Learning & Development) to bring resolution to complex employee and talent related issues and ensures consistency in program framework and implementation.Provides direction and support to all levels of management, particularly in employee engagement, change management, and leadership development.Participate in various HR projects as assigned.About you:Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field8 years progressive human resources experience3 plus years' experience in manufacturing, heavy industry or metals experience3 plus years' experience in workforce planning3 plus years' experience working with a Union workforceExperience with HRIS tools like ADP, Workday or SAPPerformance management experienceDemonstrated track record of influencing and advising leaders at all levelsExperience in measurement/ analytics (data collection, analysis, and interpretation) to support fact-based, predictive decision making.Previous success in influencing without direct authority and leading large scale, site-wide people initiativesDemonstrated success managing multiple priorities simultaneously - orientated on driving resultsPHR or SPHR Certification preferredWe are an equal opportunity employer.
