Job OverviewThe warehouse manager manages all aspects of Ketchum & Walton's local warehouse operation. This key leadership role ensures safety compliance, successful inventory management, goods delivery, and labor management where applicable.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilitiesIn support of the growth of Ketchum & Walton, responsibilities will include but are not strictly limited to the following:SafetyMaintain a clean and safe warehouse.Cultivate a culture of safety and compliance within a local operation by leading and championing workplace safety efforts.Conduct periodic hazard assessments and report findings to the Director of Warehouse Operations and local leadership team.Ensure all MHE, tools, vehicles, and dock equipment are adequately maintained and in safe working condition.Conduct accident investigations and root cause analysis to minimize risk in the workplace.Inventory ManagementAssist with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and inventory control operationsIn conjunction with the local sales team, create and maintain an approved stock listDevelop and maintain min/max levels for stock items.Create purchase orders for stock itemsProperly inspect and receive inbound shipments and report damage and/or discrepancies to the vendor.Audit outbound shipments to ensure accuracy.Conduct weekly cycle counts and root cause analysis on large inventory variancesDevelop a plan for slow-moving products.Coordinate and execute slotting and space utilization efforts.Oversees the production of "custom" filters.Coordinate the returned goods process with the sales team, customers, and vendors.Ensures all Customer Allocated Inventory is maintained as required.Logistics and ShippingCultivate and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers (where applicable)Research customers' needs to maintain 100% on-time delivery.Coordinate and develop delivery schedules for inbound and outbound shipments.Oversee order fulfillment.Generate shipping documentation (packing slips & BOL).Load and unload materials for outbound and inbound loads.Manage UPS shipping software and printerSupport for walk-in filter sales (in specific markets)Filter delivery (in specific markets)Custom filter size assembly (in specific markets)GeneralResponsible for training and development of Warehouse Coordinator (where applicable)Labor relations - Lead third-party labor and be the primary POC for the temp agencyEstablish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment that delivers results.Uphold the organization's policies and standards, ensuring all regulatory requirements are followed.You have the following experience (at a minimum)3 years of combined management experience in Warehousing or Third-Party LogisticsStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with inventory control, inventory reconciliation, and cycle countingHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in relevant fields are a plusPhysical RequirementsMust be able to bend, twist, kneel, squat, turn, reach, pull, push, balance, and lift objects up to 50 lbs for an extended period.Must be able to stand, walk, and move about for extended periods.Must be able to stand and balance throughout the shift while operating powered industrial equipmentRegularly work in a warehouse environment and possibly outside in the heat and cold.You have the following technical skills:Microsoft SuiteProficiency in warehouse management software and inventory control systemsWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
