Inpria Corporation, a JSR company, has is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Buyer. We seek an enthusiastic and conscientious candidate to join our diverse team as we continue to grow our business. This is a hands-on position in an R&D intensive manufacturing company that provides technical solutions to semiconductor customers worldwide. You will purchase material, supplies, equipment, and services at the most favorable terms for Inpria. Working with the Supply Chain Manager, you will develop purchasing strategies, maintain positive relationships with suppliers, coordinate with internal teams regarding their supply needs, and oversee all purchasing activities.Primary ResponsibilitiesMonitor and follow applicable laws and regulationsDrive the proficient use of the ERP/MRP system through standardized workflowsPrepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and servicesNegotiate and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representativesCoordinate with Logistics and Planning departments to ensure adequate flow of materials to meet production needsPrepare and distribute reports for various business departmentsCollect, transform, and organize data to drive informed decision makingAnalyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable pricesFormulate policies and procedures for bid proposals and procurement of goods and servicesMaintain and review computerized or manual records of purchased items, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventoriesResearch and evaluate suppliers, based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and historyConfer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective actionEvaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changesMonitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and resolve problems related to undelivered goodsWrite and review product specifications, maintaining a working technical knowledge of the goods or services to be purchasedMonitor changes affecting supply and demand, tracking market conditions, price trends, or futures marketsDevelop and maintain SOP documentation for key procurement processesKey QualificationsBS/BA Degree in Materials Management, Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field5 years of experience in purchasing or buyer experienceAPICS certification preferredAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure in a high paced work environmentPositive attitude, excellent communication skills, self-motivator, and superior organization skillsDemonstrated ability to develop, maintain, and improve procurement processesStrong knowledge of inventory and supply chain managementProficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing softwareExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong critical thinking and negotiation skillsStrong planning and organizational skillsWillingness to travel to visit both domestic and foreign suppliersAbility to work independentlyAbility to travel domestically and internationally as needed; expected travel Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 40 pounds from floor to table heightAbility to sit or stand in one place for extended periodsAbility to use a keyboard and mouse for computer data entryBenefitsInpria offers competitive compensation including bonus and an excellent benefits package:Group health, dental, and vision insurance with family coverageLife insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability paid for by Inpria401(k) plan with employer matching contributionsPaid holidays, vacation, and sick leaveAbout InpriaInpria Corporation is the world leader in metal oxide photoresist design, development, and manufacturing.
