Title: Head of Human ResourcesLocation: Bangor, ME OR Wytheville, VARelocation: YesWork Schedule: 5 days per week in officeReports to: CEO - Somic AmericaRole Overview:Korn Ferry has partnered with a global organization on their search for their first strategic Human Resources Leader located in the Bangor area. This is an excellent opportunity to elevate the HR function to a more strategic level supporting 500+ corporate and manufacturing employees across multiple locations. The HR Leaders will partner with senior leadership contributing to executive-level planning and decision making to align people programs with the business strategy. The HR Leader will serve as a true Business Partner and lead a team providing HR support, guidance and advice on a variety of HR functions. There is a heavy emphasis on evaluating the current HR function, identifying opportunities for enhancements, and leading through the implementation of a function focused on true business partnership. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Collaborate closely with Executive and Site leadership at the to provide critical support in executing strategic initiatives, managing projects, and overseeing operations with the businessDevelop and implement a performance management process through partnerships with site and corporate leadership to develop Succession Planning and Talent Management initiativesLead and manage compensation, health, welfare and retirement plan strategy acting to ensure market competitive and as part of the overall employee value propositionDevelop, implement, and lead the use of HR metrics through HRIS platform to make more informed decisionsCreate and implement training plans to support team member development including compliance, technical skills, and leadership skills. Ensures high quality training delivery and training tracking per company standards.Oversee consistency and accuracy of HR KPI as well as actions to ensure improvement trendsDrive the continuous improvement agenda with focus on engagement & welfare activities, maximizing productivity, evolving HR responsibilities, and building leadership capabilityAdditional duties as necessaryRequirements:Bachelor's degreeManufacturing, production, or distribution industry experience is requiredExperience supporting a multi-site manufacturing employee population is requiredMinimum of 7 years of HR generalist experienceMinimum of 4 years in leadership capacitySE# 510734458
