Production SupervisorNote: This positions will supervise a 6 person operation involved with spraying coatings on customer parts (thermal coatings, powder, polymers, paint, etc). Although this person will supervisor the team, they will be hands on and included in some of the daily production...call it a "Working" Production Supervisor.Summary:Oversees planning, controlling, and coordinating the entire range of manufacturing activities. This includes the responsibility for the coating of parts, ensuring production schedule is followed, supervision of all production employees, plant maintenance and maintenance personnel. In addition, daily work as a coating technician and applying all in-house coatings using spray equipment (HVOF, Plasma, Wire Arc, Polymer, Paint, and Powder) and other assigned duties. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Releases daily schedules and ensures all staff follows their schedules.Updates the tracker to ensure good communication regarding part status.Interfaces with plant manager on all activities.Interfaces with Customer Service to keep present on customer demands.Interfaces with the Applications Specialist and/or Plant Manager regarding any equipment repairs needed.Identifies training needs and confers with plant manager on means to accomplish the training.Perform all coating operations according to the requirements of the work orders.Ability to understand, operate, and adjust spray equipment.Ability to utilize and control supporting equipment for handling.Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and perform preventative maintenance to avoid product contamination and ensure consistent and quality product production.Knowledge of operation and ability to rebuild spray guns and equipment.Inspect one's own work by initialing and dating the job traveler before releasing product to the next internal customer.Ability to use a forklift and pallet jack.Mask and Unmask parts using - Tape, Plugs, Bolts and other materials to prevent paint from getting in unwanted areas.Maintain proper housekeeping activities. Including filter changes, drum changes, floor sweeping and proper maintenance of PPE.Any other duties or responsibilities determined by the manager.Education: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalentExperience: Three to five years' experience in manufacturing environment with some direct experience in scheduling.
