ROLE OVERVIEWWe are seeking a Level III Fire Alarm & Suppression Technician with a strong commitment to customer service and life safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in the fire protection industry and be capable of performing inspections, installations, testing, servicing, and repairs of fire alarm systems as well as engineered and pre-engineered suppression systems. This position ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, manufacturer requirements, and federal, state, and local regulations. This is a fast-paced and high-visibility role within the organization.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGInstall, inspect, and test fire alarm and suppression systems according to NFPA standards and other applicable regulationsPerform programming, testing, final inspections, customer training, and generate as-built drawingsTroubleshoot and repair fire alarm and engineered/pre-engineered suppression systemsRecord and document all work, including inspections, repairs, and recommendationsCommunicate clearly with customers and internal team members to ensure proper follow-up and serviceMaintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked service vehicleKeep tools and equipment in good working order and ensure safe work practicesAssess customer sites for potential additional service or equipment needsComply with all safety protocols and company policiesRespond to emergency calls either on-site or remotelyCommunicate any system deficiencies to the customer and explain issues and solutionsMust be available for occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work based on location needsMust be comfortable working at heights, on ladders or lifts, and in confined spacesQUALIFICATIONSMinimum of 5 years of experience in fire detection and signaling systemsAt least 33 months specifically in fire alarm systems, covering installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, sales, project management, and/or technical estimatingAdditional experience should include fieldwork, team leadership, and at least one year in a technical management roleOhio Fire Alarm LicenseUp to 3 months of closely related experience may be consideredBasic math skills including fractions, decimals, and percentagesProficiency with computers and software including Windows, Word, Outlook, Apple iOS, Android, and industry-specific toolsKnowledge of low-voltage wiring, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagramsValid U.S. driver's license requiredIDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES5-10 years of experience working with fire alarm and suppression systemsHolds a current fire protection license in the applicable stateExperience with electrical wiring and circuitry is preferredWORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSOvertime may be required; hours may vary depending on locationWork environments may include exposure to heat, cold, and dustOccasional overnight travel may be necessaryAbility to lift up to 50 lbs occasionallyFrequent lifting, carrying, ladder use, wire pulling, and physical activity such as stooping, kneeling, and working overheadDriving is required and varies by assignmentProper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory per company safety standardsADDITIONAL INFORMATIONEqual Opportunity Employer - All qualified applicants will receive consideration regardless of race, gender, disability, or veteran statusApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this roleJob Type: Full-timePay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Day shiftOvertime
