We recruit, train, and develop people to ensure the very best for our client partners.Medical Director, Medical Affairs - HematologyPosition Summary:The Medical Director, Medical Affairs - Hematology will play a key role in driving strategic medical initiatives and supporting the advancement of hematology assets through close collaboration with cross-functional teams. This individual will be responsible for shaping and executing medical plans, cultivating scientific partnerships, and providing leadership in medical strategy. The ideal candidate will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area, bring strong clinical and pharmaceutical industry experience, and possess a deep understanding of hematologic diseases.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and implementation of medical affairs strategies and tactical plans in hematology to support pipeline and marketed products.Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, and Research teams to ensure alignment on strategic priorities.Engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs), academic researchers, and clinical investigators to inform medical strategies and gather insights on clinical practice and unmet needs.Provide scientific and clinical input into internal and external communications, including congress materials, training content, advisory boards, and publications.Evaluate and contribute to the design and execution of investigator-initiated trials and collaborative research projects.Oversee the review and approval of medical information response documents in alignment with regulatory standards.Support field medical teams with training and development of scientific content to ensure effective knowledge transfer and consistency in messaging.Partner with Patient Advocacy and Medical Communications to ensure scientifically rigorous and aligned engagement and education activities.Conduct competitive intelligence assessments and contribute to strategic planning by monitoring the evolving hematology landscape.Qualifications:Doctorate-level degree required (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, DO, NP, ANP, or equivalent).Minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Development within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.Prior clinical experience in hematology and direct interaction with patients strongly preferred.Proven ability to lead medical strategy and deliver high-quality medical plans in a matrixed environment.Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external experts.Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or able to commute regularly.Willingness to travel up to 30-40% for meetings, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.Location:Hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with travel as needed.Compensation: $300,000 - $360,000
