Maintenance Mechanic II

About the Role:The Maintenance Mechanic II will work with all department heads to support companywide operating objectives and will report to the Maintenance Supervisor. This role provides technical and problem-solving assistance to other departments, including recommendations for equipment and process improvements to reduce operating costs and increase efficiencies. The Maintenance Mechanic II performs general preventative maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, and production equipment, as well as assists in monitoring building system operations and performance. This role utilizes several trade skills, such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and fabrication.Pay Range: $36.00/hr - $39.00/hrStatus: Hourly, Full-timeWork Hours: 12-hour shifts, with mandatory overtime as neededDays of the Week Needed: Sunday - Saturday, with weekends and holidays as neededWeek 1: 3 days on / 4 days offWeek 2: 4 days on / 3 days offKey Responsibilities:Support all Covid-19 protocols, food safety, sanitation, production, and quality assurance initiatives.Maintain CAL/OSHA and HACCP programs, ensuring compliance.Maintain daily records to support the Preventive Maintenance and Work Order systems.Uphold company policies and GMP procedures, leading by example.Inspect and repair systems to ensure they operate at the capacities required to meet production schedules.Schedule PM work daily, weekly, quarterly, and yearly using a PM computer system and paperwork.Assist in the planning and execution of repairs and/or replacement of facility equipment, including but not limited to compressors, boilers, and HVAC units.Fabricate lines, conveyors, machine equipment, and tools used in the production areas of the facility.Perform maintenance on machines on the production floor or in the shop due to major breakdowns.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical (PLC), pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.Perform inspections on the functionality of electrical units, potentially up to 480V, using the appropriate tools/equipment.Coach maintenance coworkers and production operators on basic maintenance and equipment settings.Maneuver wheeled tool bags and carts with tools, equipment, and supplies.
