Commodity ManagerGreater Philadelphia - Hybrid 3x a week Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 + bonusA leading manufacturer is looking for a Commodity Manager who will have a raw materials annual spend ranging up to $150M across multiple categories. This person will help define and maintain a purchasing strategy, manage communication between company and suppliers, and ultimately manage the spend impacting the business. This role will also handle business issues that arise, help mitigate risks, negotiate with suppliers and vendors, and ensure a consistent supply of materials. If you are someone looking for a great company that offers category autonomy and growth not only on this team but throughout the organization, then this is the role for you!The Commodity Manager will be responsible for:Create, maintain, & present to management team the strategy, provide monthly recommendations for directions with suppliers, for our manufacturing sites & future commitmentsManages the key raw material categories across the teamWork with R&D for cost savings opportunities, risk mitigation, and New Product Development initiativesImplement formal supply agreements / contracts with all key suppliersIdentify, lead, and implement projects with suppliers to increase end customer value and/or reduce costsLead RFP's and supplier negotiations and contract implementationThe Commodity Manager should have the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field (Business, Supply Chain, Finance) or equivalent experience in the required field4+ years of experience in Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement ideally in manufacturingComfortable in MS Office (senior level PowerPoint Presentation)Strong communication skills (will be negotiating with suppliers & Vendors and working heavily with other functions in the businessThis is a full-time permanent position that is primarily based in the greater Philly area. It will require at least 3x days onsite after probationary period.
