Harford Community College is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Director for Workforce Development to lead and expand our workforce training programs. If you're passionate about connecting education with industry needs and creating pathways for student and community success, this leadership opportunity is for you!As Director, you will oversee and grow a wide portfolio of programs including Corporate & Professional Training, Government and Contract Training, Dual Enrollment, Apprenticeship, and Open Enrollment initiatives. You'll lead a team of talented professionals and instructors, manage budgets and performance outcomes, and cultivate relationships with business and community leaders to ensure HCC continues to meet evolving workforce demands.What You'll DoSupervise a team of assistant directors, coordinators, instructors, and support staff across multiple locations.Develop, implement, and evaluate noncredit training programs aligned with business and community needs.Lead budget preparation, profit and loss reporting, and fiscal forecasting.Represent the College at local events and industry forums to develop partnerships and secure training contracts.Oversee apprenticeship programs and dual enrollment initiatives.Write and manage grants, ensuring compliance and successful outcomes.Collaborate closely with the Director of the Workforce Training Center and other internal stakeholders.What You'll NeedBachelor's degree (required).Minimum 3 years of workforce development/training experience and 2 years of supervisory experienceProven ability to cultivate strategic partnerships with businesses, government, and nonprofits.Knowledge of grant development, budgeting, P&L reporting, and revenue forecasting.Experience with apprenticeship programs and workforce trends.Skilled in market analysis and aligning programs with labor market demand.Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to travel regionally and represent the College at external events.Additional InformationMust be a resident of Maryland or contiguous states (DE, PA, VA, WV, DC) or willing to relocate.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. (no Visa sponsorship available).Why Work at HCC?Harford Community College offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports your well-being and growth:23 days of paid vacation plus 15 sick days and 2 weeks of paid winter breakMedical, dental, and vision coverageFlexible spending accounts & legal/identity theft protectionBasic life and long-term disability insurance (paid by the College)Retirement plan with mandatory and optional contributions (403b match after one year)Tuition waiver and tuition reimbursement programsFor Best consideration, apply by 6/22/2025
