Position: Piping Designer IIDuration: Permanent / Direct HireLocation: 30-40% on-site in Newport News - remainder is remotePay Rate: $70K-$80K/yearMust Haves:5+ years of piping design / P&ID designAutoCAD experiencePreferred: SmartPlant design experienceShipbuilding design experienceDay to Day - The Piping Designer II will be responsible for leading and executing the design and development of mechanical systems and components. They will support the design and development of mechanical components and systems, from concept through production. Utilize CAD software (such as Plant3D and AutoCAD) to create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and specifications. Develop and update P&IDs for new and existing systems to document system operations and functionality. They will also support project pre-bid walks, pre-design field work, and post-design construction support as requested.
