Operations Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor for our Newport News location. As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards and driving our success. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading a team to achieve our goals.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations in a production environment, including hot, cold, wet, and/or dusty environments.Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA rules and regulations.Communicate effectively with customers, subordinates, and management.Delegate work responsibilities as necessary.Operate commercial vehicles over 26,001 lbs. or demonstrate a willingness to obtain a license once employed.Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, as well as logistics database systems, to manage operations.Qualifications3 or more years of supervisory experience.Valid Commercial license Experience in a supervisory or management role within the transportation or logistics industry.Knowledge of local area roads and highways.Knowledge of hauling regulations, safety standards, and route planning.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, & Word; familiarity with logistic database systems a plus.Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
