The HR Manager will serve as the stand-alone HR leader for the business, responsible for building and leading all HR functions. This includes talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, performance management, compensation & benefits, and day-to-day HR operations. The role requires a hands-on, strategic HR professional who can operate at both a tactical and leadership level within a fast-paced industrial environment.Key Responsibilities:Strategic HR LeadershipDevelop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals and growth priorities.Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on talent, culture, and workforce planning.Partner with leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, change management, and employee engagement.Talent Acquisition & DevelopmentLead full-cycle recruiting to attract and retain top talent across all functions.Develop onboarding programs to ensure successful integration of new hires.Design and implement training and development initiatives to support skill growth and leadership development.Employee & Labor RelationsFoster a performance-driven, positive workplace culture.Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.Manage labor relations (if applicable), including union interactions, collective bargaining, and contract administration.Monitor workforce sentiment and proactively advise leadership on potential risks and engagement strategies.Compliance, Safety & HR OperationsEnsure compliance with all relevant labor laws, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.Partner with Operations leadership to promote a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement.Maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and workplace procedures.Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and HRIS systems in collaboration with Finance and external providers.Compensation & BenefitsManage compensation structures aligned with market trends and company goals.Oversee benefits administration and vendor relationships.HR Administration & Office ManagementMaintain accurate HR records, personnel files, and documentation.Support leadership with HR reporting, analytics, and compliance requirements.Assist with office management duties, including event coordination, vendor management, and workplace operations.Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or related field; HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred.7+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience, with demonstrated ability to operate as a stand-alone HR leader.Experience supporting both manufacturing and professional employee populations.Prior experience in industrial manufacturing or engineering environments is strongly preferred.Union experience a plus.Competencies & SkillsProven ability to build trust and serve as a credible partner to leadership and employees.Compassionate, mission-driven approach to supporting employees and fostering culture.Agile and adaptable; comfortable operating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.Critical thinking and analytical skills.Expertise in managing labor relations and navigating union environments (if applicable).Ability to manage multiple sites and travel as needed (approx. 25%).
