Our commitment to quality in servicing hospitality clients has earned HSS the trust and respect of the best hotel brands in the business.HSS is currently seeking an Human Resource Generalist to support our office in Norwich, CT area.The HR Generalist will provide administrative and strategic support. The HR Generalist will undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like organizing trainings, administering employee benefits and leaves and crafting HR policies. The HR Generalist will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. The HR Generalist will also also act as the main point of contact for employees' questions on HR-related topics.Duties and responsibilitiesConduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiativesProvide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arisePromote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplaceAssist in development and implementation of human resource policiesUndertake tasks around performance managementOrganize annual employee performance reviewsMaintain employee filesEnhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activitiesEnsure compliance with labor regulationsAssist with processing payroll on a weekly basisResolve employee conflicts and lead workplace investigationsQualificationsProven experience as an HR GeneralistUnderstanding of general human resources policies and proceduresGood knowledge of employment/labor lawsOutstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (ADP Work Force Now and Avionte Bold) will be a plusExcellent communication and people skillsAptitude in problem-solvingDesire to work as a team with a results driven approachBS/BA in Business administration or relevant fieldSHRM-CP a plusBilingual in Spanish and Creole PreferredWorking conditionsWork is performed in an office setting and requires the ability to sit for an extend amount of time.Physical/Visual requirementsPhysical Demands:Constant periods sittingLifting, pushing and pulling and/or carrying Frequent standing and walkingCrouching/squatting, bending stopping, twisting, above the shoulder or low-level work, fine finger dexterity/including grasping required occasionallyWriting and typing constantlyVisual Demands:Extended hours at a computer screenMust be able to read electronic documents of all typesEligibility RequirementsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.Must be willing to take a drug testMust be 18 years of age or olderWhat We Offer:HSS offers medical, dental and vision insurance for both their employees and their families.
