Senior Development Chemist

Job Summary: The Senior Development Chemist will drive new product development, customertechnical support, and continuous improvement efforts across diverse product lines. The idealcandidate brings a strong background in epoxy resin systems, formulation chemistry, and quality control practices and has hands-on experience with specialty products such as coatings, adhesives,encapsulants, or saturants used in aerospace, electrical, or similar industries where off-the-shelf, widely marketed solutions are insufficient.Day-to-Day:Product Development: Lead product development projects, from concept through to production launch, including custom formulation development, testing, and scaling processes.Customer Technical Support: Provide technical expertise to current and prospective customers, assisting with product selection, customization, troubleshooting, and supporting the successful integration of products into their production.Industry-Specific Expertise: Utilize specialized knowledge of demanding product applications in aerospace, electrical, or other industrial areas requiring high-performance coatings, adhesives, and encapsulants, aligning product development with industry needs.Manufacturing and Quality Support: Collaborate with production teams to implement efficient manufacturing processes, promote continuous improvement, and provide quality assurance assistance.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in formulation chemistry, particularly epoxy or polymer systems, with experience in both lab and production settings.Proven expertise in quality control practices, with the ability to troubleshoot and operate analytical instruments and laboratory equipment.Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to create and maintain documentation such as technical papers, technical data sheets, and testing protocols.Preferred Qualifications:Industry-specific experience in developing or supporting coatings, adhesives, encapsulants, or saturants for high-demand applications, such as aerospace or electrical industries.Extensive experience in new product development from R&D through commercialization.Demonstrated experience working closely with customers to tailor products for specific applications.Advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
