Program Coordinator - Volunteer Recruitment, Training & RetentionTravelers Aid / Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)Location: Philadelphia, PAEmployment Type: Full-time/Part-timeAbout the RoleTravelers Aid is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Program Coordinator to lead recruitment, training, and retention efforts for our volunteer-based airport guest experience program at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). This individual will manage all aspects of volunteer onboarding, skill development, and engagement"”building a diverse and empowered volunteer community that enhances the traveler experience.The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator, highly organized, and passionate about volunteerism and community engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesVolunteer RecruitmentDevelop and implement recruitment campaigns via social media, community outreach, job fairs, and partnerships.Cultivate relationships with schools, universities, community groups, and corporate partners.Represent Travelers Aid at public events to promote the volunteer program.Volunteer TrainingDesign and deliver comprehensive training programs including orientation, safety protocols, and customer service standards.Lead engaging training sessions and organize periodic refresher workshops.Create a peer mentorship system to support new volunteers.Volunteer RetentionEstablish retention strategies such as recognition programs, milestone awards, and consistent feedback.Monitor performance and satisfaction, addressing concerns and recommending improvements.Foster a supportive and inclusive environment to keep volunteers engaged.Administrative SupportMaintain accurate volunteer data, including hours, training completion, and feedback.Support budget planning for recruitment, training, and recognition initiatives.Ensure all activities comply with PHL regulations and best practices in volunteer management.Collaboration & GrowthCoordinate with airport departments to align volunteer services with operational needs.Partner with internal teams to ensure volunteer satisfaction.Stay current on trends and attend professional development opportunities to enhance program quality.Who You AreProven experience in recruiting and retaining diverse volunteer teams.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and clarity.Collaborative, solution-oriented, and comfortable in fast-paced environments.Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.Why Join Travelers Aid?No two days are the same"”your work will be dynamic and impactful.You'll collaborate with a team of dedicated, supportive, and inspiring people.You'll make a difference every day in the lives of travelers and volunteers alike.Please include a cover letter including:In your cover letter, please address the following questions to help us better understand your experience and approach to volunteer program management:Public Speaking Assessment: On a scale of 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest), how would you rate your public speaking skills?
