About The Avid Group:The Avid Group is a leader in the apparel and screen printing industry, known for delivering high-quality products exclusively for premium brands and retailers. We specialize in premium decoration methods, including special effects printing and innovative screen printing techniques, with a strong focus on research and development to stay at the forefront of the industry. As part of our U.S. expansion, we are building a new, world-class production facility in Lincoln, NE, inside a 100,000 sq. ft., fully air-conditioned distribution center. This facility will feature top-of-the-line M&R and ROQ equipment, and we are looking for a Production Manager to help bring this vision to life.Position Overview:As the Production Manager for our new Lincoln facility, you will play a key role in both the design and setup of the facility, ensuring that all aspects of screen printing, embroidery, and POD operations are optimized for efficiency, quality, and growth. This includes overseeing the recruitment, hiring, and development of a talented production team, as well as forging strong relationships with local suppliers and trades to ensure smooth operations.You will be integral in ensuring that this state-of-the-art facility is not only built to support our current production goals but is also set up for future growth. This is a growth-focused role where you will have the opportunity to shape Avid's U.S. operations and contribute to its long-term success.Key Responsibilities:Facility Design & Setup: Contribute to the design and layout of the new facility, ensuring it is optimized for screen printing, embroidery, and POD operations. Manage the setup of equipment (M&R and ROQ presses), workflows, and production processes.Team Building & Recruitment: Lead the recruitment and hiring of a highly skilled production team. Develop a strong, collaborative team culture, and provide ongoing training and mentorship to ensure the team's success.Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop production schedules and workflows to meet demand, maximize efficiency, and ensure on-time delivery. Continuously evaluate and optimize workflows to improve throughput and reduce waste.Supplier & Trade Relationships: Forge strong relationships with local suppliers and trades to source equipment, materials, and services. Collaborate with external partners to ensure all facility setup needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively.Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of quality control in screen printing, embroidery, and POD operations. Establish and enforce quality checks to ensure all products meet Avid's brand standards.Continuous Improvement: Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on streamlining production, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality. Use data and KPIs to measure and improve performance.Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Ensure the equipment is running smoothly and address any issues that may arise promptly. Manage maintenance schedules and work with vendors to ensure minimal downtime.Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the sales, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure alignment between production capabilities and customer needs. Provide regular updates on production status, challenges, and opportunities.Qualifications:Experience: 5+ years of experience in a production management role, ideally within the screen printing, embroidery, or apparel manufacturing industries.Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and developing teams. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to recruit, motivate, and manage diverse teams.Facility Setup & Design: Experience contributing to the design and setup of a production facility, including optimizing layouts, workflows, and equipment placement.Supplier & Trade Relationships: Experience building and managing relationships with suppliers, vendors, and trades to ensure successful facility setup and ongoing operational support.Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of screen printing techniques, embroidery, and POD operations. Familiarity with M&R and ROQ equipment is a significant plus.Operational Excellence: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external vendors.Education: Bachelor's degree in Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with production management software and ERP systems is a plus.Travel Requirements: Must have a valid passport and the ability to travel to Canada occasionally for training, meetings, and strategy sessions at our headquarters.Why Lincoln?Considering a move to Lincoln?
