The Supervisor-Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to business leaders and provides leadership and guidance to HRBP staff, while also directly supporting designated divisions as an HRBP. This role ensures alignment of Human Resources (HR) initiatives with division and organizational goals to drive overall performance and employee engagement. The HRBP team has the responsibility to administer functional areas of HR that include talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Provides leadership to HRBP staff who collaborate with HR staff and division leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and employee engagement. Along with supervisory responsibilities, the Supervisor-HRBP has direct HRBP responsibilities for assigned division(s). The HRBP is responsible for talent acquisition and serves as a primary point of HR contact and an advocate for employees at all levels within assigned divisions, providing information related to HR programs, personnel policies, Human Resources Information System (HRIS), and other HR initiatives.Oversees the planning, developing, and implementation of strategic talent acquisition initiatives for the organization. Facilitates a positive candidate experience and promotes a strong employment brand for WaterOne. This includes planning, developing, and overseeing WaterOne's internship program.Oversees the implementation of performance management processes. Prepares, coordinates, and initiates the performance management cycle within the HRIS.Provides consultation to HRBP and management staff on performance management processes, including goal setting, performance appraisals, individual development planning, and disciplinary actions.Under the guidance of the Manager-Human Resources, advises HRBP and management staff on employee relations issues, providing effective direction on human resources practices. Ensures investigations are conducted effectively, thoroughly, and objectively and provides coaching and resolution. Ensures compliance with personnel policies, best practices, and all relevant employment law.Responsible for maintaining the Personnel Policy Manual by recommending updates, tracking changes, and coordinating the processes for approving and implementing new or updated policies and guidance documents.Responsible for maintaining employee job descriptions. In collaboration with HRBP, management, and other staff, creates, prepares, and updates employee job descriptions.Prepares and improves HR systems for continuous organizational growth. Oversees and maintains accurate HRIS records. Provides reporting from the system to prepare metrics and support various HR projects and initiatives.Under the leadership of the Human Resources Manager, provides guidance to HRBP and has oversight of the salary administration processes, including coordination of salary changes and interpretation of salary related policies and procedures for internal customers. Conducts research and acts as subject matter expert regarding market compensation trends. Makes recommendations, if needed, for appropriate internal equity across the organization. Conducts salary and other HR-related surveys, as necessary.Supports HR programs and employee communications aimed at creating a positive work environment and promoting employee engagement. Serve as brand ambassador at various events, such as career fairs, recruiting events, networking events, HR professional organizations, etc. May be required to represent WaterOne at special events and attend meetings outside regular work hours and location.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Attends meetings and seminars to stay current on employment related issues.Leads and/or participates in special HR and organizational projects, as assigned.Performs additional supervisory responsibilities as follows:Assigns work schedules and tasks to team members; in collaboration with department manager, determines and communicates team goals and priorities. Focused on immediate, daily needs/tasks of the team operations.Formulates and implements tactical work plan. Establishes procedures and overseas team workflows to ensure efficient quality outcomes. Gathers and submits performance reports and metrics.Ensures work performance of team, provides timely performance feedback and coaching, and if necessary, recommends and enforces corrective actions.Completes and performs annual employee performance evaluations and makes recommendations for employee training and development. May deliver training, ensures skill development among direct reports.Conducts interviews and evaluates talent for hire in accordance with WaterOne interview standards. Provides input into hiring decisions for team members.Performs or oversees other leadership and administrative duties such as timesheet approvals, time off requests, training authorizations, and other recordkeeping tasks.Participates in department strategic planning and goal setting to align with the division and organizational strategic plan.Builds relationships with employees and inspires and motivates employees to help them succeed. Promotes a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters a sense of belonging.Makes decisions based on organization and team policy.Addresses inquiries and complaints from stakeholders of team services.Recommends process and workflow improvements, adopts and implements process changes.Other DutiesServes as a backup to HR Manager other HR staff, as requested.Supports other HR staff members to help balance workloads and in situations of employee absence.Customer Service CommitmentWaterOne employees shall continuously strive to meet or exceed the expectations of both their internal and external customers. Excellent interpersonal skills.Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to comply with goals and objectives, meet deadlines, and handle a variety of responsibilities with minimal supervision.Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.Must pass post offer medical exam, including background verification and drug screen (may not apply to current employees).Preferred QualificationsThree years of supervisory experience that included some experience with employee performance reviews and coaching and managerial administrative tasks like timekeeping approvals.Professional HR certification, such as one or more of the following: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
