Constant motion.Welcome to logistics.Maverick Transport Inc., a third-party logistics (3PL) provider, is seeking a sharp, high-energy Operations Specialist / Logistics Coordinator to help us source capacity, problem-solve in real time, and keep freight moving.You'll work closely with carriers and internal teams to source trucks, vet carriers for quality and safety, and ensure shipments get executed on time. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure role where urgency, organization, and communication are everything.What You'll Do:Source daily truckload capacity by calling carriers, tapping into existing contacts and using load boards when necessaryPre-vet carriers for safety, insurance, and compliance standards before bookingNegotiate rates and confirm shipment requirements with carrier partnersCommunicate proactively to solve issues and prevent service failuresTrack and update load statuses in our transportation management system (TMS)Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with reliable carriers to ensure future coverageSupport internal teams to ensure excellent service for customersStay organized while managing multiple time-sensitive shipmentsWhat We're Looking For:Strong multitasking and decision-making skills under pressureExcellent phone and email communicationConfidence negotiating rates and working with carrier partners1+ year of logistics, transportation, or brokerage experience preferredKnowledge of load boards like DAT or Truckstop is a plusProficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other office toolsHigh school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree a plusPerks & Benefits:Health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth in a fast-paced logistics environmentSchedule & Location:Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PMThis is an in-office positionin Easton, MDMust be local or willing to relocate before startingIf you're driven, detail-oriented, and ready to be in the middle of the action"”we'd love to have you on the team.
