It develops and manufactures multifunctional, lightweight components for optimum noise and heat protection. The Company is organized into four business groups by region: Business Group Europe, Business Group North America, Business Group Asia, and Business Group SAMEA (South America, Middle East and Africa). This position will be a full-time onsite position located in our manufacturing facility in Norwalk, Ohio.The Engineering Manager will lead and oversee the engineering department within our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all engineering activities, including Capex allocation, process improvement, and project management. The Engineering Manager will work closely with other departments to drive continuous improvement and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.Essential Duties and Responsibilities· Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance, training, and support.· Develop and implement engineering strategies to improve manufacturing processes and reduce costs.· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.· Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.· Collaborate with other departments to identify and resolve production issues.· Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.· Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.· Ensure Engineers' project workload for process improvements is in alignment with Plants goals and objectives ensuring associated spending is within budget.· Project manage all new model launches from award of business to SOP.· Manage all capital projects related to area of responsibility including justifications and capital request (OA).· Responsible for reviewing and updating annually equipment asset list.· Responsible for commissioning and approving all equipment prior to start-up.· Assist's Maintenance developing new PM's and TPM's related to facilities equipment.· Annual review/update all existing PM's and TPM's related to facilities equipment.· Engineering Department to develop and maintain plants process standard operating procedures and process parameters for all plant processes.· Conduct Layered Process Audits, per required schedule.· Ensure compliance with all related TS-16949 and ISO-14001 policies and procedures.QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceManufacturing experienceAct independentlyStrong communication
