Canopy USA is now positioned to consolidate operations across its three business units - Wana, Jetty, and Acreage - realizing synergies, cost savings, and supporting growth in state-legal markets across the U.S.Through coverage of key market segments including flower via Superflux, vape and concentrates via Jetty, edibles and beverages via Wana, and retail through The Botanist, Canopy USA is well positioned to accelerate growth with an emphasis on the Midwestern and Northeastern U.S. marketsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:The Cultivation Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the Cultivation department, including Propagation (Clone/Seed), Vegetative Growth, Flowering, Harvest/Trim operations and Irrigation. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations - including environmental monitoring, irrigation, lighting and nutrient programs - aligned with National Cultivation standards and production goals. The Cultivation Manager provides strategic oversight and planning - collaborating with other departments - to drive plant health, improve efficiency and ultimately product quality. This role reports directly to the National Cultivation Manager with dotted line reporting to the Senior Production Manager (SPM) of the Middlefield facility.CULTIVATION OVERSIGHT & MANAGEMENT· Manages all phases of the plant lifecycle from seed/clone through harvest and trim. · Ensures alignment of cultivation practices with company goals, operational standards, local and state compliance regulations. · Works cross-functionally with Compliance, Production and Facilities and other departments to drive and action continuous improvement. · Establishes and executes cultivation schedules in coordination with the National Cultivation Manager and SPM.· Coordinates crop steering, integrated pest management (IPM), feeding strategies and pruning/defoliation in accordance with National Cultivation SOPs. CULTIVATION OPERATIONS· Oversees and reviews crop health data, environmental metrics, feed schedules and pest/disease trends. · Executes and enforces adherence to SOPs across all phases of cultivation. · Validates that corrective actions are timely, effective and well-documented. · Ensures proper execution of IPM plans, crop pruning and canopy management at each stage of growth. · Drives data collection and accuracy in plant care logs, equipment logs, fertigation records, cloning reports, etc. · Oversees departmental readiness for audits and regulatory inspections. · Leads coordination and communication of harvest schedules, staffing and workflows with the Trim and Post-Harvest teams. LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE MANAGEMENT· Leads the hiring, training, development and performance management of Cultivation Supervisors, Tech II's and Tech I's with management oversight · Drives accountability, cultivates a strong team culture and aligns teams with national cultivation and production KPIs.· Leads daily/weekly meetings with supervisors and ensures clear communication of expectations and timely updates. · Provides mentorship and support to supervisors in managing teams of Tech II's and Tech 1's · Partners with HR, National Cultivation and SPM leadership on succession planning, potential employee relations' matters and workforce forecasting. TECHNICAL & ADMINISTRATIVE OVERSIGHT· Contributes to cultivation strategy including yield planning, genetic selection and long-term improvements. · Manages inventory levels of cultivation materials and identifies purchasing needs. · Collaborates with the National Cultivation Manager and SPM on departmental KPIs, budget adherence and capital planning. · Ensures software systems and digital platforms are being utilized correctly across Cultivation operations. · Participates in site-specific planning, potential facility upgrades and expansion initiatives. · Maintains and improves the Cultivation Operations' manual and SOPs in partnership with National leadership. BASIC QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience · High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in horticulture, agriculture, plant science, biology, or related field preferred. · 4+ years of professional experience in commercial cannabis or horticulture production. · 2+ years of leadership or management experience in a cultivation or production environment. · Demonstrated knowledge of plant biology, IPM, crop steering, fertigation and cannabis cultivation best practices.
