We believe education should be available to all students regardless of ethnicity, religious affiliation, or socio-economic status, and it encourages respect for and an understanding of our multicultural family.Job Overview:The Assistant Principal for Student Services is directly responsible to the Principal and assists in the daily implementation of the school's discipline code and the operation of its guidance and health services and those counseling services provided by government or private agencies.Leadership• Cooperate with the Principal in integrating the Catholic faith and culture into the school's entire program.• Promote a school culture rooted in Gospel values and mutual respect.• Work in a collaborative capacity with members of the administration team.• Serve as an ex officio member on school boards and committees (if designated)• Participate in the evaluation of all teachers.• Provide leadership and oversight for the Guidance Department.• Monitor the Culture Walkthrough data and trends; report findings to the administrative team during leadership meetings.• Proactively monitor behavior and attendance data to identify trends and lead early intervention planning.School Climate and Culture• Uphold and enforce the school's Code of Conduct and behavioral expectations.• Work with faculty and students to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning.• Collaborate with faculty to develop and model effective classroom management techniques.• Establish and maintain open communication with parents, students, and faculty regarding conduct, attendance, and lateness.• Act as a liaison between students and faculty on discipline matters.• Supervise student conduct throughout the school day and at all school-related events.• Supervise student behavior in cafeteria and auditorium• Create, maintain, and monitor student behavioral contracts.• Process and approve all student infractions.• Process suspensions and facilitate reinstatement meetings.• Plan, prepare, and deliver Conduct Class to promote responsibility, reflection, and growth.Safety Management• Plan, practice, and supervise school-wide emergency drills, including evacuations and lockdowns.• Coordinate daily transportation schedules for students.• Monitor the movement of students throughout the building.• Maintain accurate records for attendance, lateness, and conduct.• Receive and log student visitor pass requests.Managerial Supervision•Attendance Officer· Process early dismissal requests from parents.· Daily, weekly, monthly, annual attendance reports•Director of Guidance· Direct, encourage, and support the guidance counselors in fulfilling their roles.· Coordinate with government and private agencies providing counseling services.· Facilitate Grade Level Tier 3 and 4 Meetings•Nurse· Oversee and supervise the Health Office, including decisions to send students home.•Cafeteria Monitor· Oversee the Cafeteria Monitor ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the cafeteria during lunch periodsAssume additional responsibilities as delegated by the principal.
