Akkodis is seeking a Purchasing Analyst for a client in Mount Vernon, Washington.Rate Range: $28.00/hour to $32.00/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.As a Purchasing Analyst, you will play a key role in our supply chain operations, driving strategic procurement initiatives that optimize cost, quality, and delivery. Organizational skills are a must; experience with SAP or similar ERP management system is a huge plus!This is slated to be a 3-month contract, with possibility of extension. For this particular assignment, candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.Primary Function:Coordinate all Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) purchasing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing and receipt of necessary equipment and supplies to ensure continued operations.Assures understanding of company procedures/policies/guidelines governing procurement activities and follows appropriately.Processes MRO purchase orders through a computerized system and places orders for the purchase of goods and services in a timely manner.Performs or directs order follow-up for timely delivery in support of requisitions, routine expediting.Coordinates activities with other departments to identify and prevent delays.Monitors MRO purchases to ensure product quality and quantity, taking corrective action as necessary.Prepares management reports and maintains necessary records and documentation.Assist in negotiating corporate MRO purchasing contracts.Processes and tracks Blanket Purchase orders and annual contracts.May perform other related administrative duties as assigned.Learn various aspects of Document and Records Management, Fleet Management and Project Management System.Act as a back-up for these functions.Skills/CompetenciesStrong aptitude to understand business concepts, functions, organization, and terminology.Familiarity with SAP preferred.End user support a plus.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.Project Coordination, strong organizational skills.Education RequiredBachelor's DegreeIf you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
