The Director of Asset Management & Maintenance will have direct responsibility to ensure maintenance programs are properly implemented and utilized, which will drive operational efficiency and ensure maximum value of company assets. In addition, this role will have the primary responsibility of leading the activities of the maintenance team and ensuring proper utilization of company assets across the organization. This role will coordinate with other groups to ensure that company objectives are achieved regarding the strategic plan, operational efficiency, operational and capital budgets.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESImplement strategies and business processes to ensure asset utilization and asset life cycle management supports business growth and customer needs, both external and internalIdentify opportunities to continuously improve return on investment (ROI) for company assets and develop strategic initiatives and processes to reduce overall risk factorsDevelop efficient plans for completing preventive maintenance and ongoing maintenance repairs of company property, equipment, and assetsEnsure the adherence to health and safety policies and practices for maintenance teamOversee the functions and responsibilities of the maintenance team and provide information to multiple levels of leadership within the organizationManage and oversee the physical assets of the organization, including buildings, equipment, and parts inventory by planning, organizing, and directing activities of the organizationAssist in developing, implementing, and maintaining strategic asset management plans and quality assurance protocols that reduce overall maintenance costs and company fleet expensesSupport the leadership team, finance team, and company stakeholders in adhering to the organizational strategic plan and financial objectivesEvaluates and makes recommendations regarding purchasing assets and potential acquired assetsManage the procurement and purchasing process of assets and the disposition and disposal of assets based on company objectives and strategic initiatives determined by the company leadership and stakeholdersAssists in developing and executing the long-term business strategies and the organization's achievement of goals on maintenance, reliability, and asset managementCoordinates with other department to provide accurate forecast, trend analysis, and recommendations for process improvementsFoster an environment that is committed to the SES culture of safety, ethical practices, customer focus and continuous improvementEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCERequiredPossess communication and influencing skills with the ability to resolve issues, build consensus among groupsDemonstrated knowledge of advanced financial metrics and analytical functionsExperience implementing a maintenance program and asset management strategies using data analysis and performance metricsAbility to diagnose problems quickly, foresee potential issues, and enact solutionsBackground in developing and managing maintenance budgets (both capital and operational), including vendor management and service contracts.Minimum of 5 years' experience in Industry LeadershipAbility to provide situational leadership and collaboration to:Develop team members into strong performers at all levels of the organizationBuild and maintain strong peer relationshipsGarner trust from others and the ability to communicate the long-term visionPreferredHighly motivated leader that exhibits positivity, enthusiasm, and urgency in leadership styleExhibits a high level of executive acumen, exercises sound judgement, and utilizes persuasivenessDemonstrated ability to work independently, strong work ethic, and a commitment to acting with integrity under all circumstancesCritical thinking and the ability to provide innovative solutions that demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness in identification of multiple solutions to complex and challenging problemsTakes ownership for results and has an unwavering commitment to the pursuit of excellenceDrives a culture of accountability and responsibility within the organizationCOMPETENCIESStrategic LeadershipOperational ExcellenceAsset OptimizationCross-Functional CollaborationContinuous ImprovementJOB DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTFrequent walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods.Occasional lifting and moving of equipment up to 25 lbs (adjust as necessary).Ability to work in industrial environments, including exposure to loud noise, heavy machinery, and potential environmental hazards.Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines, analyze operational challenges, and make high-stakes decisions.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to rapidly changing environmentsTravel required, including overnight stays as neededSuperior Environmental Solutions (SES) is a leading provider of industrial and environmental services.
