Job Location: NAWS China Lake - Per Diem & Lodging ProvidedThe Superintendent/Quality Control Manager/SSHO plans, coordinates, and develops Quality Control (QC) Plans to ensure that the project is performed with impeccable quality utilizing the specified materials and techniques while controlling and documenting the execution in compliance with all regulatory guidelines. The Superintendent/Quality Control Manager/SSHO is responsible for the overall Quality Control of construction activities including processes and materials.ActiveUS Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management for Contractors certificate is required. USACE 385-1-1 certification is required. Duties and Responsibilities:Develop inspection proceduresPerform all planned inspections and document the related findings promptlyAssist in stakeholder and company team's understanding of plans, specifications and scheduleLead the close-out process under the direction of senior leadership and/or Project ManagerCoordinates all testing activities and confirms that results meet the Client's requirementsVerify the project work is performed daily as planned and in conformance with plans and specificationsEnsure daily quality control reports are complete, thorough, accurate, and delivered in a timely manner in accordance with contract requirementsManage communication with the Client and other stakeholdersAct as the company's Agent at Construction Quality Control and Assurance meetings, and attend Preliminary, Initial and Follow-up contractor's quality control (CQC) meetingsProvide technical expertise in the RFI and submittal processesSupervise and train staffTravel from time to time to various military bases (San Diego, El Centro, Coronado, China Lake, 29 Palms, and others)Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:EM385-1-1 Certification (Required)USACE Quality Control Certification (Required)5-10 years of experience in the construction industry (Required)5 years of experience with NAVFAC design-build contracts (Required)A minimum 30 hrs. OSHA safety class or equivalent within the last 5 years (Required)Bachelor's degree (Preferred)Successfully completed ECATT program (Environmental Compliance Awareness Training) a plusPreferred Skills:The ideal candidate must be a motivated self-starter with a high level of personal integrity and business ethicsTeam-builderTransparent and objectiveExcellent communication skills; Ability to write and speak concisely and authoritativelyAbility to trainA superior command of the construction processA proven track record of successful completion of projectPrior military construction projects experience is strongly preferredOutstanding planning and scheduling skillsExcellent organization skills and attention to detailsProject experience ranging from $5 million to $30 million or moreAbility to resolve challenges in a fiscally prudent mannerDemonstrated Commitment to excellenceDedicated to a strict adherence to our Client's proceduresThe company is a VEVRAA Federal Contractor, and as such, we request priority protected veteran referrals.
