Macdonald & Company has partnered with a leading private equity real estate investment firm to appoint an Asset Manager to join their growing team, on a remote basis. This is a high-impact role managing a diverse portfolio of multi-family properties. It's an ideal opportunity for someone with deep sector expertise, strong financial acumen, and a passion for driving value across operations.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee performance and operations of a portfolio of multi-family assetsDevelop and implement strategic asset management plans to drive NOI and value creationMonitor key performance indicators such as occupancy, income, expenses, and capexCollaborate with third-party property managers on leasing, marketing, and operational strategiesConduct property inspections and lead initiatives for improvements or repositioningPrepare detailed financial reports and analyses for investors and senior leadershipLead budgeting and forecasting for assigned assetsIdentify and evaluate value-add opportunities including renovation and redevelopment projectsEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal standardsStay informed on market trends to inform portfolio strategyQualifications & ExperienceMinimum of 5 years' experience in real estate asset management, property management, or investment, with a focus on multi-familyBachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, or related field; advanced credentials such as CFA or CPM are a plusProficient in Excel and real estate software such as Yardi or MRIStrong communication and negotiation skillsProven ability to manage multiple assets in a fast-paced, high-accountability environmentWillingness to travel as neededIdeal BackgroundYou may currently be an Asset Manager at an investment manager, real estate private equity firm, or operator, with experience directly managing multi-family assets.
