Role: Manufacturing Test EngineerLocation: Newark, CA 94560Type : Long Term ContractPay Range: $80-$85/hr.Job Description:One of Collabera's largest Silicon Valley-based technology and automotive companies is seeking a high-caliber engineer to join their team during a critical production phase. The Sr. Manufacturing Test Engineer is responsible for the Development and Deployment of test systems to contract and original design manufacturers. They will work closely with SW & HW Engineering teams to collect and document Test Requirements, Design, & build custom Test set ups & Fixtures for ECUs (Electronic Control Units) as well as performing functional analysis of ECUs to resolve manufacturing integration or software issues. They will create, execute and maintain the Manufacturing Test plan for products while providing Test support during NPI and production builds on multiple systems for current, or legacy test stations, on different programs.Key ResponsibilitiesHands-on testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems from component to system level. Eagerness to Automate common processes in their daily work life. Able to lead through setup of the factory test lines, networking requirements, data collection and reporting across multiple sites worldwide.Experience working with multiple organizations across different cultures and regions.Able to work with SW & HW Eng. Teams to find solutions quickly and efficiently.Clear & Effective Communication skills to management regularly on status, issues and solutions, improvement plans, program status and process recommendations.Managing 3-4 low voltage test system projects at a timeUp to 20% travel may be required.Minimum Qualifications:NI LabView and TestStand development expertise for High Volume Manufacturing Test is required plus at least one mainstream programming language proficiency, C#/python are preferred, Java / C++ are equally valid. Certification is considered a plus.MINIMUM of 5+ years hands on Mfg. / Test development experience. 7+ is preferred.Bachelor's degree in STEM is required, Engineering is preferred.Electronics manufacturing experience is required, Experience using Quality Management tools & processes will be considered a plus (PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, QRQC).Experience developing testsExperience with analysis, design, testing, and documentation of complex systems.Able to read and understand schematics, test point requirements and perform DFT. Experience in a Worldwide Operations team with CM/ODM's in Asia or Mexico.Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus. (IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3 knowledge)PLUSSESElectrical Engineering background, who learned how to code is where they have seen the best candidates.
