THIS ROLE IS OPEN TO ANY OF SAUL EWING'S 18 OFFICES POSITION SUMMARY: Saul Ewing's Staff Recruiter will oversee and manage the full-cycle talent acquisition process for business professional staff positions within the firm. The individual in this role will be a permanent employee within the human resources department responsible for identifying, sourcing, and obtaining top talent on behalf of the firm.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Actively reach out and source candidates through various recruitment methodsWork with hiring manager to discuss needs of their team through an intake meetingScreen candidates for minimum requirements for the position and advise hiring manager on candidatesCoordinate with the human resources assistant to schedule interviews, send offer letters, manage applicant tracking system, rejection letters, and initiating background checksMaintain communication with candidates on recruitment process and provide updates on the their candidacyResearch and recommend salary ranges for opportunities to the human resources director and identify any gaps in order to maintain internal equityAssist the payroll department with tracking what employees are eligible for the employee referral program for referral hiresConduct professional reference checksWork with the human resources specialist on incoming candidate background checks including: attorney, staff, and temporary workersPartner with the compensation manager on designing and implementing a formal compensation structure with salary ranges firmwideManage recruitment requests and monitor for accuracyPost opportunities on the firm careers page, LinkedIn, and other job portalsCommunicate with candidates about expectations leading up to their first day of employment after background check clearsWork with attorney recruiting coordinator on monthly background check invoiceRepresent the firm professionally and ethicallyParticipate in market research for compensation surveysReview job descriptions annually to ensure they are consistent with responsibilitiesProvide occasional recruiting support to the attorney recruiting departmentKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:Understanding local, state, and federal laws to ensure fair and legal hiring practicesExceptional verbal and written skills to establish rapport with hiring managers and candidatesAbility to find, attract, and engage with active and passive candidates using tools like job boards, LinkedIn, and social mediaSkilled at sourcing resumes, conducting interviews, and identifying if a candidate is a good fit for the position/firmComfortable managing high volume hiringProvide a positive experience for all candidatesUtilize hiring metrics and analytics to track hiring KPIs to optimize the hiring processEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree or relevant work experienceA minimum of 5+ years' experience recruiting within a law firm or in a recruiting agency specializing in legalExperience managing an applicant tracking system (Dayforce experience a plus)Demonstrated ability to manage upwards and downwardsADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Individual in this position will provide additional assistance and support as directed by their supervisor.This job description is subject to change at any time.Saul Ewing follows a hybrid work schedule. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of one of our office locations.PAY TYPE:SALARYCOMPENSATION:The pay for this position will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, education, external market data, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
