Linux System Administrator

Job Description:An employer in the Dayton, Ohio area is seeking a TS/SCI Linux Systems Administrator (Sr.) for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is responsible for managing and supporting the organization's network and software systems to ensure they run smoothly, securely, and reliably. The position will focus on maintaining system stability, resolving issues as they arise, and helping implement and improve modern technologies, with an emphasis on Kubernetes and DevOps practices, including containerized applications and automation. This role requires working on site five days a week and an active TS/SCI security clearance.Required Skills & Experience:Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Security clearanceBachelor's Degree or 6 years of related experience in lieu of10+ years of experience in systems administrationExperience in a Linux environmentExperience with managing, implementing, and enhancing platforms (Kubernetes)IAT II Certification (CASP+ or Sec+)Nice to Have Skills & Experience:Active TSSCI Security clearance (DoD)2+ years of experience implementing cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, etc.Experience working with HarborExperience maintaining CI/CD pipelinesExperience with VMwareExperience with Docker and KubernetesCompensation:$60/hr to $75/hr.Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
