SummaryThe Production Supervisor will directly oversee our production teams, including Production Leads and Production Technicians. This role combines technical knowledge, leadership skills, and operational expertise to ensure daily manufacturing operations run efficiently and meet quality standards while ensuring the safety of our people, workplace and environment and meeting all company, legal and other requirements.Safety and ComplianceLead and Champion workplace safety initiatives and ensure adherence to safety protocols.Document and report safety incidents and near-misses.Enforce and implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.Demonstrate working knowledge of HAZMAT, SDS, EPA, FDA, and OSHA compliance requirements.Maintain a clean and organized environment using 5S principles.Team Leadership and DevelopmentDirectly supervise Production personnel across assigned production areasConduct daily production meetings, assign tasks, and coordinate shift handoversProvide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team membersIdentify training needs and coordinate skill development for production staffDaily Operations ManagementOversee daily production activities to ensure output targets and schedules are metCoordinate equipment startups, shutdowns, changeovers, and maintenance activitiesMonitor production metrics and make real-time adjustments to optimize performanceEnsure proper staffing levels and resource allocation across production linesTroubleshoot production issues and implement immediate solutions Quality Control and Process ImprovementMonitor quality parameters and ensure adherence to quality standardsReview production data and quality control reports to identify improvement opportunitiesImplement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)Lead continuous improvement projectsLead root cause analysis (RCA) activities and implement corrective actionsEquipment and Maintenance CoordinationCoordinate with maintenance teams for equipment repairs and preventive maintenanceEnsure proper equipment operation and identify potential issues before breakdowns occurOversee autonomous maintenance activities performed by production staff including management of spare parts inventoryQualificationsHigh school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred3+ years of manufacturing experience with 2+ years in a supervisory roleStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and control systemsExperience with production scheduling and performance monitoring, preferredKnowledge of quality and food safetyProficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems i.e. (SAP), preferredExcellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
