Assistant Professor of Nephrology

The University of Miami Health System is initating a search for an Assistant Professor of Clinical Nephrology. Essential Job Functions:Patients in the outpatient clinic setting, with some service in the continuity clinics at Jackson Memorial Hospital possible.Coverage of inpatient consult coverage in multiple hospital venues, weekend on-call services, and dialysis unit attending.Participate in the educational and training activities of the nephrology and medicine programs providing.Independent coverage of inpatient consults and concurrent care at JMH and UMH.Will be assigned evening, weekend and holiday call proportionate to other physiciansTeaching of residents, fellows, and medical students as necessary.Will be assigned proportionate level outpatient clinics at UHealth locations .Qualifications:MD/DO Degree RequiredACGME US Internal Medicine ResidencyBoard certified/board eligible in the subspecialty of nephrologyExpertise in clinical care, teaching, and researchCompleted 2-year ACGME US Nephrology FellowshipValid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology (or board eligible)Valid Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)Valid DEA licensureCurrent ACLS and BLS certification required
