About Us:American Home Contractors - Solar Division is a fast-growing leader in solar-integrated roofing systems, including Tesla Solar Roofs and GAF Solar Shingles. We proudly serve the Northeast region from our Fulton, MD and Chantilly, VA offices, with a solar warehouse based in Columbia, MD.Position Overview:We are actively seeking a Solar Electrician to join our Solar Division team. Journeyman License is preferred but not required. This is a travel-based field position (approx. 35% - 40% of the year), supporting installations throughout MD, VA, DC, PA, WV, DE, and NJ. A take-home company vehicle is provided.ImportantApplicants must live within 85 miles of our Columbia, MD warehouse or be willing to relocate prior to start. We are not currently hiring electricians based outside this area.Key Responsibilities:Install and repair electrical systems for solar roofing projectsRun conduit and wiring per national and local electrical codesInstall circuit breakers, inverters, Powerwalls, and other solar system componentsPerform inspections and troubleshooting of electrical systemsLead and mentor solar installation apprentices and field techniciansComplete required manufacturer and licensing trainingsRequirements:Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagramsStrong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulationsExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsComfortable with physical demands: climbing ladders, lifting 50 lbs, working outdoorsPreferred Qualifications:Journeyman Electrical License (preferred, not required)Experience with Tesla Solar Roof and Battery Storage systems is a plusPrior solar PV and battery backup experienceExperience supervising or mentoring field crewsCompensation and Benefits:Per Hourly Rate up to $38/hr.4-day work week scheduleTake-home company vehicleFull benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.)Paid manufacturer certifications and continuing educationTravel Expectations:Overnight travel required approximately 35%-40% of the year within our licensed service states.If you are an Electrician looking for a career in the fast-growing solar industry, with steady work and growth opportunities, we encourage you to apply!
