Position SummaryThe LCL Export Team Lead will oversee and coordinate Less-than-Container Load (LCL) export operations for our NVOCC business. This role is responsible for supervising a team of export coordinators, ensuring timely and accurate execution of shipments, maintaining compliance with international regulations, and delivering exceptional service to customers and partners. The Team Lead will act as a bridge between management, customers, carriers, and internal departments to drive efficiency and operational excellence.Duties and Responsibilities: o Encourage quality and efficiency by constantly training, motivating, and coaching staffo Responsibility for interviewing and training employeeso Supervise, train, and develop LCL staff members in line with the objectives, policies, and procedures of the organization.o Complete supervisory responsibilities in a timely and thorough mannero Liaising with managers. Reporting back to senior managerso Position requires dealing directly with Customso Work closely with Sales Representatives, oversea agents, customers, vendors, and related departments to assist in helping support sales growtho Assign and direct work; appraise performanceo Must have a working knowledge of all duties required of team members within the departmento Maintain knowledge of the company's productso Maintain highest degree of confidentiality in staff and management mattersQualificationso At least 3 years of experience in the transportation industry, specifically NVOCCo Ability to participate as a team-member as well as leader in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.o Strong background and work experience in Operations Managemento Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, and outlooko Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, Spanish and English Preferredo Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiativeso Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management styleo A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplaceo Excellent people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job doneo Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organizationo Ability to look at situations from several points of viewo Delegate responsibilities effectivelyo High comfort level working in a diverse environmento Hazmat / IMO certification
