Design Manager / Program Manager PMCM

The PROCEDEO Group is seeking a Design Manager for a K-12 client in DeSoto, Texas (South Dallas area). This new Design Manager will oversee the design of multiple ongoing projects within a new bond funding program, overseeing project programming, FCA QAQC, Prepare Design Schedule, Review Design deliverables, supervise staff and manage overall project Design. The role demands strong leadership, design, and project management skills to deliver projects on time and within budget.The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure compliance of our client's district educational specifications and technical design guidelines for all projects within the building program. You will work closely with design professionals to assist in understanding the bond program and related contracts and requirements. That will include preparing NTPs for architects on design projects, attending all architect/engineering team meetings, reviewing the designs from programming through construction documents, participating in contract negotiations, developing progress reports, assisting with FF&E coordination, and attending punch-list walks and observation walks as needed during construction.Candidate Qualifications:Minimum of five years of experience as an architect or as a design manager for a commercial construction companyProfessional Degree in architecture, civil engineering or construction management is requiredAdvanced understanding of architectural drawings and specifications as well as constructabilityDetailed understanding of construction project sequencing and schedulingProficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, CAD, BluebeamStrong communications skills, both written and verbalExperience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methodsMust work well in a team environment and be committed to client serviceThis is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the employee is not eligible for overtime compensation. Benefits include a negotiable salary, 401K (with company match), full medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, life and disability insurance, paid maternity and paternity leave, tuition reimbursement, HSA and FSA medical plans as available to fulltime company employees.About the PROCEDEO Group:PROCEDEO is a national leader in alternative project delivery methods for architecture and construction, as well as cutting-edge construction technology within the education and municipal sectors.
