HVAC Mechanical Technician

Schneider Electric is looking for a Sr. HVAC Mechanical Technician Join our team and play a vital role in delivering high-performance heating, cooling, and ventilation solutions for commercial and industrial clients. You'll work with cutting-edge equipment, collaborate with skilled professionals, and help ensure safe, efficient, and reliable HVAC operations.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall HVAC systems per specifications and blueprintsInterpret technical diagrams and system layoutsConnect electrical wiring, line sets, and ductworkPerform routine maintenance: cleaning, filter replacement, refrigerant checks, control calibrationDiagnose and repair system malfunctions using specialized toolsReplace components: motors, fans, thermostats, compressorsRespond to emergency service calls, especially during extreme weatherEnsure compliance with OSHA and Schneider Electric safety standardsMaintain detailed service records and documentationHandle refrigerants per EPA regulationsUse tools: multimeters, pressure gauges, leak detectors, brazing equipmentWork with HVAC equipment: RTUs, Split Systems, Ductless Systems, Pumps, FansCommunicate with clients and recommend energy-efficient upgradesPerform off-hour emergency duties and other assigned tasksConduct advanced troubleshooting on commercial and industrial HVAC equipmentEquipment You'll Work WithChillersProcess, Centrifugal, Air-CooledBoilersMake-Up Air UnitsVariable Frequency Drives (VFDs)Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) UnitsRefrigeration EquipmentPumpsLicenses & CertificationsCurrent EPA 608 certifications requiredKentucky Journeyman/Masters License a plusValid driver's licenseEducationCompletion of technical school HVAC training
