This is a unique opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who thrives in a high-growth, relationship-driven environment. Reporting directly to the executive team, this individual will play a critical role in shaping Innovo's financial strategy, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. This is an onsite role in Detroit, Michigan.Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain transparency for investors, lenders, and regulators.Lead and coordinate external and internal audits.Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic investment initiatives.Partner directly with private equity firms, institutional lenders, investment trusts, and other financial stakeholders.Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team to support growth and investment strategies.Collaborate with external accounting partners.Evaluate and improve accounting systems and processes.Mentor and support finance/accounting team members as the company grows.Qualifications: CPA certification required.7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally with exposure to real estate development, investment, or related industries.Proven experience working with private equity, money market banks, and/or Wall Street-level institutions.Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.Prior audit management experience (internal and external).Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow with the business and take on increasing responsibility.Excellent communication skills; ability to present financials and insights directly to executives, partners, and clients.They are a team-oriented, growth-focused company that values integrity, accountability, and drive.
