This role will manage the complete product journey"”from concept and trend analysis to supplier negotiations and product launch"”while focusing on the unique needs of the off-price retail market.Key Responsibilities:New Product Creation: Drive the development of innovative housewares products informed by consumer insights, retailer feedback, and market research.Supplier Partnerships: Source and manage suppliers in China, securing competitive costs, optimal MOQs, lead times, and quality standards.Product Line Strategy: Use sales data and market intelligence to plan and forecast assortments that meet client goals and consumer demand.Off-Price Department Store Channel Expertise: Develop product assortments tailored to off-price retailers like Ross, TJX, and Burlington, ensuring margin targets and packaging standards are met.Trend Research: Stay ahead of emerging retail and design trends to inform product innovation and competitive positioning.Client Presentations: Create professional product decks and sales materials aligned with specific client and retailer requirements.Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with design, packaging, logistics, and sales teams to keep projects on schedule from start to finish.Qualifications:5+ years in product development and/or sourcing within housewares or home goodsProven experience importing from China and managing vendor relationshipsFamiliarity with off-price retail channels and value-based retailingStrong forecasting and assortment planning skillsProficiency with Excel, PLM tools, and sourcing platformsExceptional negotiation, communication, and organizational abilitiesMandarin language skills a plusJob Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
