Reconstruction Project ManagerBlue Island, IL 60406Salary Range: 55k-85k/yrOVERVIEW:The position of Project Manager is primarily accountable for managing their Team, writing accurate estimates, and selling jobs. They are also responsible for working with their Team to produce jobs. This is an AT WILL positionSUPERVISION AND EXERCISE RECEIVED:Receives direct or general supervision from Branch Manager and/or General Manager. Oversight and supervision of the Team Coordinator, Superintendent, Lead Carpenter, and Lead PainterEXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Screen and pre-qualify every new assignment. Review, proof and finalize all scopes with adjusters and clientsAssign a Superintendent to each and every projectProject collectionsComplete an accurate estimate with listings of all items required to complete the repairsReview completed files for profitability and accuracy of the original scope. Attending all company meetings and functionsAssist in hiring all team membersFinding, hiring and utilizing subcontractorsHandle pertinent calls with the adjuster, agent property manager, tenant or other concerned partyMake initial contact with the insured and the adjusterAssure that your Team is trained and updated in safety responsibilitiesAssist with company training and other eventsResponsible for undertaking marketing activities that will lead to more work from current sources and new work from new sourcesManaging details of multiple projects in a sufficiently and organized mannerCommunicating a positive image of the company to the entire staffImplementing the company vision and mission and achieving goalsPeriodically writing scopes for water damage emergencies and carpeting cleaning estimates.Responsible for the project outcomes and issuesMarketing and sales will involve developing relationships with individuals in the industry that will recommend our businessProspecting and locating additional projectsAssist in problem solving and motivating team members to better the companyWork with the Claims Coordinator and Administration to collect on debts for all projects, as neededOther duties as assignedABILITY TO: Be available for on call and emergency servicesCommunicate and coordinate with the TEAM for timely job completionWrite accurate estimates for projects and scope of workManage multiple client accounts at one timeTrain and lead employees to successful projects and elevated customer servicesManage projects to consistently achieve a high degree of profitabilityManage professional and timely customer service contact with clients, employees and vendorsMultitask multiple tasks and projectsProduce reports as need in regards to customer informationGenerate information within a reasonable time frame with accuracy and efficiencyImplement and design policies and procedures for the companyRead, understand and follow the PCR file flow systemPositively motivate othersConvey a positive image of the companyMake progress toward the corporate visionAssist in solving problems and in making this a more effective organizationAbility to read and write EnglishGeneral mathematical and data entry skillsKNOWLEDGE OF:Industry software: Xactimate, Contractor Connection, PSA, Code Blue and other similar programsProper pricing and estimates for material costs and needs for projectsUnderstanding of estimating programs and other related programs required for the positionWorking with annual budgets, business plans and sales goalsAll policies and procedures of the companyProper filing techniques, office efficiency and timely processingProper and appropriate phone skills and handling customer complaints and issuesLaws, rules and regulations that govern the areas of your job, including but not limited to project and site management, as they relate to the administration and the companyCooperation and respect for others. Working in a close office environment and working with others to respect ideas and opinionsDeveloping and presenting creative solutions to problemsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:4 years college degree or 5 years industry experienceLICENSE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Valid State driver's licensePHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; to operate a motor vehicle and to visit various customers and meeting sites; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephoneWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to perform onsite reviews including exertion of a moderate amount of physical effort to stoop, crouch, climb and lift in the performance of dutiesTasks may require extended periods of time at a keyboard. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, typewriter keyboard, or calculator and to operate standard office equipment.
