With approximately 8,500 births annually and a robust NICU, it is one of the largest specialty hospitals of its kind in the U.S. Women & Infants is committed to fostering a collaborative, compassionate environment that supports both patients and staff across all disciplinesDirector, Infection ControlPrimary Function: The Director of Infection Control leads and manages the overall infection control program for Women & Infants Hospital. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining all infection control activities in conjunction with the Director of Risk Management, Senior Vice President of Quality and Clinical Effectiveness, Employee Health, Quality Management, Risk Management, and other internal and external departments. The incumbent communicates with personnel in all departments and external agencies regarding infection control protocols. The incumbent reviews and revises all Infection Control policies and procedures and develops effective educational programs for Infection Control. The incumbent conducts special studies to survey and monitor specific infection risks. Performs other job-related duties as required or requested.Requirements:A Bachelor of Science degree and current professional registration are required. An Infection Control Certificate is required, and APIC Membership is preferred. 7 years of experience in Infection Control/Epidemiology.
