The Safety Manager leads the company's safety program and is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive safety program that ensures a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment. Candidates should embody these values and enhance our culture.Education/Experience/RequirementsMinimum five years of health and safety experience in construction, industrial, or manufacturingCompliance with drug, motor vehicle record, and background screeningsProven experience managing or leading a teamCurrently possess or willingness to obtain: OSHA 30 and OSHA 510; Certified Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC); Certified Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)Description of DutiesServe as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters across the organization.Supervise, support, and mentor the Safety Coordinator and Safety Administrator in daily operations, long-term initiatives, and personal development.Oversee key responsibilities of direct reports, including, but not limited to: all safety documentation, including pre-job safety analysis, daily job site hazard analysis, and various compliance reports; safety training, certifications, and toolbox talks; PPE and safety equipment inventory; and safety bonus eligibility and distribution.Report directly to the Director of Operations Support and provide regular updates on safety performance, compliance, and initiatives.Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and training programs in alignment with regulatory requirements and company standards.Ensure timely and accurate submissions to various web-based compliance programs.Ensure the proper maintenance, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of all OSHA-mandated injury and illness records.Lead regular site inspections to assess safety conditions, enforce compliance, and drive timely corrective actions to mitigate risks.Collaborate with project managers and foremen on pre-job site visits to assess and mitigate risks.Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and ensure corrective action planning and execution.Promote continuous improvement through safety drills, workshops, and employee engagement.Conduct new hire safety training, ensuring full understanding of Korellis and insurance captive safety policies.Lead the planning and execution of monthly company-wide safety meetings.Maintain confidentiality of employee, client, and company information.Attend all required company meetings, including safety manager conferences and committee meetings.Represent the company in a professional manner.Comply with all company policies and procedures.Support the company's safety policy.Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the safety department.Skills and Personal AttributesExtensive knowledge of standards, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in the industry.Ability to lead by example to instill a workplace culture grounded in respect and aligned with company policies and procedures.Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.Driven and proactive leader with a strong work ethic.Maintain a strategic mindset, balancing short-term priorities with long-term safety goals to drive continuous improvement.Demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels.Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities as needed to ensure efficiency and focus on critical safety objectives.Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality of sensitive information.Willingness to acquire specialized training and continued education when needed or eligible.Position Type: Full Time, SalarySchedule: 6:30AM StartDirect Reports: Safety Coordinator, Safety AdministratorDepartment Supervisor: Director of Operations SupportKorellis Roofing, Inc. is an Equal Employment/Affirmative Action Employer and is in compliance with the Federal E-Verify Program.Note to recruiters: We are not seeking external assistance to fill this position.
