This role includes hands-on technical work, client coordination, and mentoring of junior staff across a variety of sectors including transportation, education, healthcare, and commercial.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform hydraulic modeling in HEC-RAS 1D (bridges/culverts); HEC-RAS 2D experience is a plusModel small culverts in HY-8 and perform hydrologic modeling using HEC-HMSDesign and model storm sewer systems using OpenRoads Designer Drainage & Utilities (ORD DU)Prepare CLOMR/LOMR applications and coordinate with FEMAConduct scour analysis and detention basin designApply TxDOT, city, county, and FEMA design criteriaManage project budgets, timelines, and deliverablesMentor junior engineers and assist in hiring and staff developmentWrite technical reports, proposals, and client-facing documentationCoordinate with internal teams and external stakeholdersQualificationsBachelor's in Civil or Environmental EngineeringPE license and Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM)6+ years of relevant site/civil design experienceProficiency in stormwater management, H&H modeling, SWPPP, and Civil 3DStrong communication, leadership, and project management skillsFamiliarity with local land use regulationsValid driver's license and reliable transportation
