Construction Safety Manager (Concrete)

Diversified Safety Services is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to oversee safety performance on a large-scale life science project. This role offers the opportunity to play a critical role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance, and supporting project teams in delivering safe and successful results.Key ResponsibilitiesChampion Safety Culture: Prepare and enforce health and safety policies that build a safe, proactive jobsite environment.Lead Safety Programs: Design and implement safety programs, plans, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).Monitor & Report: Track safety compliance, document findings, and communicate updatesIdentify & Solve Hazards: Spot risks early, recommend solutions, and ensure preventive measures are put in place.Drive Engagement: Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessions to keep teams engaged and aligned.Stay Present & Involved: Maintain regular on-site presence, participate in project meetings, and provide proactive safety guidance.Ensure Compliance: Verify that all work follows approved manuals, internal procedures, and contract requirements.Maintain Documentation: Keep accurate logs of inspections, reports, and safety correspondence.Oversee Site Activity: Supervise subcontractors and contractors to ensure work meets EHS requirements.Investigate & Improve: Conduct investigations for accidents, incidents, and near misses; follow through on corrective actions.Enforce Standards: Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures at all times.Support the Project: Contribute to additional safety initiatives and requirements as needed.QualificationsMinimum 5+ years of direct construction safety experience.OSHA 30-hour Construction Certification required, OSHA 500 preferred Strong knowledge of concrete and large-scale new construction is required.Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local safety regulations (OSHA standards).Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence subcontractors and crews.Proven success in implementing and managing comprehensive safety programs.Diversified Safety Services is a nationwide safety consulting firm supporting contractors across all trades, from general contractors to specialty and subcontractors.
