OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Resident Project Representative to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects by acting as the primary liaison between project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management and quality control, with a focus on data collection and analysis to uphold project standards.ResponsibilitiesResident Project Representative (RPR) provides construction observation services for construction projects requiring engineering oversight. Primary role is to document construction activities and verify the project is being constructed in accordance with the Drawings and Contract Documents.Perform observation of construction work in progress for compliance with contract documents.Coordinate sampling and testing of various construction materials.Review construction stakes and verify layout.Calculate and document quantities and review payment applications.Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and other construction documents.Perform field inspections to ensure standards are met, safety standards are adhered to, and proper records are kept.Work closely with various public agencies, public utilities, engineers, and construction contractors.Act as on-site reviewer and field representative for the Construction Group.Assumes responsibility of administering portions of the contract, which includes preparing change orders, tracking quantities, and pay requests for Project Manager review.Experience5+ years of experience as an RPR or construction supervisor. Experience on State and Federally funded construction projects preferred.Knowledge of the construction of grading and earthwork, roadway construction (full depth reclamation, asphalt paving, slurry seal, etc.), underground utilities, concrete formwork and rebar, and pumps and controls is desired.Ability to read and interpret construction schedules.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.Experience in contract management and understanding of contractual obligations is advantageous.Ability to work effectively on construction sites while maintaining safety protocols.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with diverse stakeholders.SalaryThe salary for this position is competitive and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.BenefitsHealth InsurancePaid Time Off - Vacation, Sick, Holidays401k Retirement Plan & Profit SharingHybrid Workplace Environment OpportunitiesIn-House and External Training
