Senior Project Manager - ConstructionPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects across multiple markets, including commercial, healthcare, K-12, and higher education. This individual will provide strategic leadership, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proven builder of relationships and teams, with a track record of successfully managing diverse project types and stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all phases of construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout.Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation across multiple market sectors.Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.Direct subcontractor and vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.Collaborate with design teams, owners, and internal staff to resolve challenges and maintain project momentum.Monitor project performance metrics (schedule, budget, quality, safety) and implement corrective actions as needed.Mentor and develop project engineers, assistant project managers, and junior staff.Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and delivery approaches across projects.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master's preferred).Minimum 10 years of progressive project management experience in the construction industry.Proven track record delivering projects in at least three of the following markets: Commercial (office, mixed-use, retail, etc.) Healthcare (hospitals, clinics, medical office buildings) K-12 Education (schools, renovations, additions) Higher Education (universities, research facilities, student housing)Strong knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling (Primavera P6/MS Project), and project management software (Procore, CMiC, etc.).Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.Deep understanding of safety practices, building codes, and regulatory compliance in multiple jurisdictions.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.Preferred AttributesLEED Accreditation or familiarity with sustainable construction practices.Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships that lead to repeat business.Strategic thinker with a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.
