Job Title:Facilities Maintenance Mechanic (2 Openings)Location:Based in Farmingdale, NY Frequent travel to retail store locations using a company vehicle"”clean driving record required.Employment Type:Temp-to-PermPay Rate:$21/hourSchedule:Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMPosition OverviewTop Retail chain is seeking two skilled Facilities Maintenance Mechanics to support the upkeep and maintenance of multiple showroom and retail properties throughout New York. This hands-on role focuses on ensuring the safety, functionality, and appearance of both the interior and exterior of various locations.Technicians will report to the Farmingdale headquarters but primarily work on-site at store locations. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required to operate a company vehicle.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Performing general maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting across various building systemsEnsuring the mechanical, safety, and aesthetic standards of all facilities are metConducting preventative maintenance tasks and inspectionsResponding to maintenance requests in a timely and professional mannerAreas of Expertise (Preferred)Candidates should have working knowledge in one or more of the following areas:CarpentryElectrical workPlumbingFlooring installation/repairHVAC maintenanceLock and key systemsLow-voltage wiring (Cat5/6, telephone)Landscaping and exterior upkeepGeneral preventative maintenanceQualificationsMust have own basic toolsAbility to use ladders, scissor lifts, and bucket trucksStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate clearly and effectivelyComfortable working both independently and as part of a teamValid driver's license required (clean driving record)Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
