Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to manage medical supplies within our supply chain storeroom. This role is crucial in ensuring an efficient and cost-effective supply chain system that supports both short and long-term goals of our clinical departments.The main responsibilities include stocking and storing medical supplies, receiving and de-casing products, and managing inventory. You'll work mostly independently but also collaborate with department managers, directors, clinicians, and physicians to maintain an efficient supply system. You will also provide expertise on medical supplies and equipment, coordinate product trials, and monitor contract compliance.Location: 1 Medical Plaza Dr., Roseville, CA 95661Schedule: 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. PSTPay: $25+/hr, depending on experienceResponsibilitiesOversee storeroom inventories, including rotating stock and managing expiration dates.Check packing slips for accurate deliveries and notify the buyer or vendor of any discrepancies.Coordinate special supply and equipment needs for upcoming procedures.Implement and maintain an ordering system for backordered items and manage equipment and supply recall notices.Assist in cost containment by ensuring adequate inventory turns and minimizing obsolete inventory.Work closely with Purchasing and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues.Maintain a clean, neat, and safe working environment.Oversee and enhance the cycle count program and annual inventory processes.Report device failures to the manufacturer for further investigation.QualificationsEducation: A High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience is required.Experience: Requires 2 years of experience in healthcare supply chain, healthcare procedural areas, or as an OR Tech or Surgical Tech.Skills: Must have the ability to work independently with minimal guidance and possess an aptitude for math and computer operations. You should also have knowledge of relevant healthcare regulatory requirements, such as O.S.H.A., Title 22, and Joint Commission standards.Work Requirements: Must abide by the department's policy on Conflict of Interest.
