Job Title: Estimator - Concrete & Structural Projects (Federal)Location: Long Beach, CAPosition Summary:We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in concrete and structural projects to join our preconstruction team in Long Beach. The ideal candidate will bring prior federal project experience, with the ability to prepare accurate and competitive bids for large-scale infrastructure and building projects.Key Responsibilities:Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents for federal concrete/structural projectsPerform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for formwork, rebar, concrete, and structural elementsDevelop labor, equipment, and material pricing in line with federal project requirementsSolicit and analyze subcontractor/vendor bids and ensure proper scope coveragePrepare bid proposals, cost reports, and value engineering options for reviewAttend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and proposal presentations as requiredMaintain accurate estimating databases and historical cost data for future bidsCollaborate with project management and field operations to align estimates with constructabilityQualifications:5-10+ years of estimating experience in concrete/structural projectsPrior federal project estimating experience required (USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, VA, or similar)Strong knowledge of federal bid procedures and compliance documentationProficiency in estimating software (e.g., HeavyBid, WinEst, or similar)Strong organizational and communication skillsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
