Material PlannerPay Rate: 25-28 per hourHolland MI on site1 year contractManage the inbound movement of materials from suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels. Collaborate with purchasing, production, master scheduling, customer service and engineering teams to coordinate material requirements and resolve any supply chain disruptions.Responsibilities:• Manage Inventory: Manage inventory levels for assigned parts or materials, ensuring availability to meet production demands while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.• Support Production Scheduling and End Customer: Support production scheduling and end customers by managing the flow of incoming material and identifying and communicating potential bottlenecks in supply.• Resolve Material Shortages: Resolve material shortages by exhausting all options such as substitutes, partial shipments to avoid additional cost including break in fees and expidites.• Utilize Material Planning Systems: Learn and utilize Haworth's material planning systems and tools to plan and track inventory, generate reports, and support decision-making.• Participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Participate in supply chain continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.• Analyze Supply Chain Data: Analyze supply chain data related to planning, inventory, and production to identify trends and support decision-making.Education:• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent OR Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary educationSkills and Abilities:• Active Learning: Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.• Service Orientation: Actively looking for ways to help people.• Troubleshooting: Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.• Monitoring: Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.• Coordination: Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.• Systems Analysis: Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.• Production and Processing: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture / distribution of goods.Competencies:• Attentive Listening• Communicating Effectively• Delivering High Quality Work• Displaying Technical Expertise• Acquiring Information• Utilizing Feedback
